Mark Finley

Mark Finley and his wife Ernestine have been involved in Christian ministry for over 35 years—preaching, teaching, offering spiritual growth workshops and presenting healthful lifestyle lectures. Finley was speaker/director for the It Is Written international ministry from 1991 through 2004. He currently serves as a vice president for global evangelism at the world headquarters of the Adventist Church. Finley draws from his years of experience in pastoral work to reach people from all walks of life. He and his wife have conducted over 100 evangelistic series that have spanned the globe, and his sermons have been translated into over 50 languages.

In his efforts to reach people all over the world, Finley became a pioneer of satellite evangelism technology. As a result, millions attended his It Is Written satellite evangelistic campaigns, NET ‘95, NET ‘96 and ACTS 2000.

Ernestine Finley

Ernestine Finley was born in Portland, Maine. She became a Seventh-day Adventist as the result of a literature evangelist selling truth-filled literature and subsequently enrolling in the Voice of Prophecy Bible course. She attended Portland Junior Academy and later attended Atlantic Union College. Her first assignment in Seventh-day Adventist church work was as a teacher in Hartford, Connecticut. With her evangelistic husband Mark, she has ministered around the world. Together they have conducted over 100 evangelistic series on almost every continent. Ernestine Finley represents the Hope Channel conducting evangelistic workshops, training events, and her own public evangelistic meetings.

Ernestine Finley joined the It Is Written ministry in 1991 where, for 14 years, she tirelessly conducted evangelism training seminars, health expos and cooking classes across the world. Finley has been sharing her down-to-earth approach to nutrition for over 30 years, and has authored two nutrition books: Lifestyle 2000 and Natural Lifestyle Cooking, and co-authored a lay training manual Light Your World for God. She has also accompanied her husband on many of his evangelistic campaigns, organizing behind-the-scene details. As a result, she has a wealth of experience to share with evangelism students. She is a regularly featured speaker at various conventions, including ministerial workers’ retreats and women’s groups.
